How Do I Know I’m Infected? Coronavirus – SARS-CoV-2

Don’t know if you are infected with coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 but do you suspect that your test will be positive? The main symptoms of COVID-19 include elevated temperature, cough, shortness of breath, headache and fatigue. These are typical signs of other diseases that we know and it is not even supported that every patient has all symptoms at once.

Scientists have now found a new symptom that may indicate infection with a new type of coronavirus. These include reduced sense of smell or total loss of smell. This hypothesis is also confirmed by other scientists from South Korea, Italy and China. Approximately one third of patients who were tested positive for COVID-19 reported a sense of smell as a symptom – in medicine known as anosmia or hyposmia.

According to British doctors, problems with the sense of smell need to be given due attention, especially in cases where these problems are not accompanied by fever and cough. Do not forget that some people are only carriers of the disease and may not feel these symptoms. If you suspect that you are infected, take care of your health and the health of others and stay at home without visiting friends, shops and pharmacies. You better ask someone to bring you the things you need.
